Common Questions
Is this tool free?
Yes — completely free, no account needed. Your saved places live in your browser.
How accurate are the coordinates?
On phones with GPS it is typically accurate to a few metres outdoors. On desktop or indoors it falls back to a coarser IP-based estimate.
Do you store my location?
No. Everything runs inside your browser. Saved places use your browser’s local storage on your own device.
Why does the browser ask for location permission?
Precise GPS coordinates require your permission by design. If you decline, you can still use the approximate IP-based location.
Can I export my saved places?
Yes — export as GPX, KML or GeoJSON anytime, and import those files into other mapping tools.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — it works in any modern mobile browser, and phones give the most accurate GPS readings.
